World Book Day at Haileybury
There was a school-wide celebration of reading this morning to mark World Book Day.
Every Lower School pupil took part in a lively book quiz organised by the Library team.
Competing in teams for prizes, the rounds were fun and varied and included anything and everything from naming famous dog owners in literature to recalling book titles and authors.
Then at 10.25am, all lessons stopped so that Main School pupils could Drop Everything and Read.
This was a chance for everyone to get lost in a good book and enjoy 20 minutes of reading.
Over the past week, the English Department has also been running a book review competition for pupils in the Lower School, Removes and Middles. The winner will be announced on Monday 5 March.
