Squash players excel during Christmas term
The Squash team enjoyed an excellent Christmas term, with five wins and one draw.
We have benefited from having a very stable line-up and have been fortunate enough to be at full strength most of the time. The pupils have been working hard during training and have responded well to their individual and group coaching sessions. There is a very good team spirit and a supportive atmosphere among the players.
Nick Brooks (Tr), Jack Wareing (B), Amrit Ratnani (K), Laurent Duplix (K) and Alex Walkey (B) have been playing team Squash for three years now and used their experience to good effect in their matches last term. We are also indebted to Sam Billings (BFr), David Wilson (BFr) and Sam Wilson (BFr), who have played for us when available and done an excellent job, with a 100% win record. We have also had good back up from Florian Lindermann (L), Ben Dicks (BFr) and Franceso Lupis (K) when required.
The key to our success has been the strength in depth of the team. The top eight are all quite evenly matched and most could beat each other on their day. As a result, we have so far been able to overwhelm other schools in the middle and lower order in particular.
Good luck to the team for the six matches they face this term.
