Sports stars for Haileybury conference
More than 80 sports coaches and physical education teachers from the south east of England will have the opportunity to learn tactics and skills from international sports stars and coaches of the likes of Nick Gillingham MBE when Haileybury hosts the fourth in a series of Multi Sport Conferences next Monday, October 6.
In addition to Gillingham, a double Olympic swimming medallist, other stars who will be sharing their knowledge include John Shaw, a British hockey International and Olympian, Lyn Gunson, England netball coach, and Lynn Evans, RFU rugby training officer for coaches.
The Inset training day, held in partnership with Sporting Matters, will focus on providing new ideas for sports coaching and will give delegates the opportunity to learn the latest techniques and coaching methods.
The day will conclude with a presentation by Gillingham, who will talk on how he achieved his top spot in the world of swimming and what inspired his Olympic silver medal win.
