Rowers Reach 750km in 24 hours for Charity
Over the weekend of 9-10 February members of the Haileybury Boat Club took part in a ’24h erg’ (which translates as a 24-hour indoor rowing-machine marathon) supporting one of the school’s chosen charities, the Bobath Centre. The event took place in the Lower School Recreation Room and was organised and led by Boat Club Captain Andrew Hamilton (U6 Tho).
The Bobath Centre provides treatment for children with Cerebral Palsy and the "distance covered" raised an impressive £1,500 after reaching a combined rowing distance of 750km.
