Pupils enjoy Field Days activities in the October sunshine
Making the most of the October sunshine, our Middles and Fifths pupils headed out this week for an amazing Field Days programme of exciting activities!
CCF pupils practised fieldcraft in the woods and visited the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in London and the Imperial War Museum in Duxford.
Music pupils enjoyed a fantastic behind-the-scenes tour of the Royal Opera House, a musical theatre exhibition at the V&A in London and a recital by the Cambridge University Samulnori Society.
In between trips, the days were filled with many opportunities to try new adventure activities, from horse riding to rowing, high-ropes to archery, and even a little impromptu cricket in the woods, before gathering around campfires in the evenings.
Field Days aim to develop teamwork and teach pupils to move out of their comfort zone whilst having fun outdoors. It was wonderful again this year to see pupils fully engaging and enjoying the incredible experiences on offer.
