Martin Rayfield elected Chairman of Haileybury Council
At the meeting of Council on Friday 8 December, Alan Pilgrim completed his term of office as Chair of
Haileybury Council and following election by Council, Martin Rayfield was appointed his successor.
Martin joined Council in 2020 and has served on Council Committees as well as being a governor responsible for developing the successful partnership with Haileybury Turnford. He has become Chair at an exciting time for Haileybury; the IB, A level and (I)GCSE results in summer 2023 were excellent; Haileybury pupils are enjoying their lessons in the new state-of-the-art SciTech centre and the richness of the co-curricular programme continues to go from strength to strength.
Martin said;
“As Chairman, I am committed to ensuring that we continue to invest in our outstanding staff, infrastructure and facilities, so that both current and future generations of Haileyburians may enjoy the opportunities the School has provided to so many during its history.”
Being a current Haileybury parent, Martin can be regularly seen onsite watching sporting fixtures and enjoying the many musical and theatrical performances.
