Jamie selected for England U16
Following the recent England training camp in the Midlands, Fifths pupil, Jamie George (BFr), has been selected for the England Under 16 rugby squad for the forthcoming 4 Nations tournament in April.
Sixty two players attended the camp and were divided into two squads for trial matches on Sunday 18 February. Jamie was selected to play in the senior England team against Millfield Under 17s, whilst the England ‘A’ team played against the Midlands. Jamie’s selection for the full squad was confirmed following a good performance in the Millfield game.
There are three upcoming training weekends in March, with warm-up games for the squad of 26 players against Worcester Academy Under 17s and Bath Academy Under 17s. In the 4 Nations tournament, England will come up against Wales, France and Italy and all the matches are to be played in the Birmingham area between 5 and 11 April.
