IB Results 2003
The possible maximum IB points score is 45. To score above 40 puts one in distinguished company and this has been achieved by five of our thirty IB pupils.
Beth Bowen, daughter of Roger Bowen, the vicar of Hertford Heath, will now read Law at Magdalen College, Cambridge. Beth gained 43 points, as did Jo Rogers, from Cornwall, who is going up to Oxford to read Oriental Studies. Emma Greer of Watton-at-Stone, scored 41, in company with Falco Pichler and Nicola Bowen.
Results generally exceeded expectations, and the average points score is similar to last year’s, when Haileybury’s results matched all but one other school in the United Kingdom.
Results in most subjects were very encouraging, but in History they were spectacular. 13 out of 15 candidates gained a grade 7, the top subject grade.
