House Athletics
Thursday 2nd May saw some excellent performances at the House Athletics at Wodson Park in Ware. In the Senior 100m two athletes achieved times that would qualify for National Standard awards if achieved in July’s Nationals. It was an incredible race given that the 3rd and 4th place qualified for the Nationals too. This must have been one of the fastest races seen in Haileybury’s history and missed the school record by .02 of a second. Congratulations to Charlie Desmond (BFr), Yuki Omenai (B), Jide Chinsman (H) and Chris Wyles (Tr). Another notable performance was by Tomide Isinkaye (L) who achieved a very good county standard in the U17 triple jump. Several athletes achieved very good school standard times or district level performances, many of whom will be competing at the County Championships at Woodside Stadium, Watford on 15th June.
