Haileybury Sports Complex to undergo refurbishment
The Haileybury Sports Complex will undergo a major regeneration during the Easter holidays, causing the centre to be closed for a week.
New equipment will be installed in the wet changing rooms, the squash area will be redecorated, and art and sports photographs will decorate the public areas, according to Haileybury’s domestic bursar, Mr Peter Bailey.
In addition, the fitness suite will be re-organised and there are plans to update the equipment in the gym in the near future.
Already, new vending machines have been installed, offering healthier options such as smoothies, low fat crisps and olives. Freshly ground coffee is also now available.
Mr Bailey says staff training will take place while the centre is shut. This will encompass first aid, life saving awards and other skills essential to the centre’s staff.
Another innovation is the launch last weekend of the Centre’s new website (www.haileyburysportscomplex.co.uk) which will carry up-to-date information for members and Haileybury parents. There will be alerts as to unscheduled closures of the centre, and the site also carries other essential member information.
"These new features have been planned for a long while and now that we are undertaking them, we would very much like the public’s feedback once they are completed," Mr Bailey says.
