Haileybury recognised for its commitment to ensuring pupils stay safe online
We’re now a National Online Safety Certified School which recognises our commitment to ensuring pupils stay safe online.
The school has successfully completed a comprehensive online safety training programme which assesses the community approach to protecting children in the online world.
“The accreditation highlights our continued dedication to ensuring that our entire school community is safe online,” Haileybury’s Director of Digital Learning Craig O’Brien said. “As a school, we believe that online safety is everyone’s responsibility.
“To that accord, we have provided all staff, parents and governors with access to high-quality training and up-to-date resources through the National Online Safety portal. As teaching and learning continue to be delivered through our Connected School, we are ambitious in our efforts to be leaders in online safety.”
National Online Safety is an award-winning provider of CPD accredited courses and educational resources which help to support UK schools.
Its co-founder James Southworth said: “Congratulations to everyone at Haileybury on becoming a National Online Safety Certified School.
“It can be increasingly difficult for schools and parents to stay ahead of online threats and ensure both children and staff are safeguarded from potentially harmful and inappropriate online material. We arm schools with the knowledge they need to understand online dangers and how best to react to any problems.”
