Haileybury MUN
Haileybury hosted the Model United Nations over the weekend of the 9th and 10th March. 405 delegates were welcomed from countries as far afield as USA – California, Greece and Holland. A wide variety of issues were on the debating agenda such as ‘The preservation of peace in the Balkan States’, The disposal of radioactive and toxic waste’, ‘The peaceful use of Outer Space’ and ‘The role of UN peacekeepers in African conflict’. The MUN at Haileybury is an annual event and is affiliated to The Hague Model United Nations (THIMUN). Haileybury delegates attend four other MUNs in England and abroad throughout the year at The Hague, Dublin, Croydon and Reigate.
