Haileybury Lower School pupil secures place in the National Youth Choir
Zoe B, a Lower School 1 (Year 7) pupil, has been successful in securing a place in the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.
Andrew O’Brien, Director of Music commented: “Musically this is like achieving a national cap! The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain is the family of choirs for outstanding young singers, and those with great potential, thus, we are incredibly proud of Zoe for being selected. It is quite an achievement especially when hundreds of children audition for a very limited number of places and testament to the hard work of the music team.”
The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain aims to nurture exceptional young musical talent with outstanding potential. It comprises a total of five choirs for around 750 young people between the ages of 9 and 25. In addition to the Chamber Choir, the Youth Boys', Youth Girls' and the Youth Training Choirs, the National Youth Choir remains its flagship ensemble and is recognised as one of the pre-eminent choirs of its kind in the world.
We want to congratulate Zoe and wish her the very best of luck in her new choral adventure!
