Haileybury hosts East of England Junior Schools' Aquathlon
Haileybury is proud to be hosting the East of England Junior Schools’ Aquathlon on Friday, 11 May.
Over 240 children will be competing in a swimming and long distance running challenge as part of a national drive to prepare young people for the challenges of the Triathlon, in order to raise the focus on this sport and help develop future Olympic Triathlon athletes.
The event will take place mostly in the Sports Complex swimming pool and on a route around 20 Acre/Quitchells.
The School has agreed to supply 37 pupil marshalls to help host this event.
The timings are as follows:
8.30am Arrival of competitors
8.30 – 9.10am Race registration
9.15am sharp Race Briefing – all competitors and their teachers to attend in sports hall.
10.00am Race starts
11.30am Last swimmer in pool
12.00pm – 1.00pm Lunch (packed lunches provided by teams)
1.00pm Prize Giving in the sports hall.
