Haileybury Chef 2nd in Young Chef of the Year Competition
Congratulations to Lee Warren, Function Chef at Haileybury, who this week was awarded 2nd place in the British Culinary Federation Young Chef of the Year competition.
Lee was one of 15 finalists (from 135 entries) in the competition held in Brimingham and had two hours to prepare a three-course meal under the watchful eyes of the judging panel. He achieved ‘best dessert’ and 2nd place overall which is a fantastic achievement in this national competition.
"Well done Lee and thanks also to Mike Hodges our Executive Chef and the rest of the team for their support for Lee," said Jackie Williams, the College's General Manager for Catering and Events.
Lee’s menu:
- Seared Fillet of Farmed Seabass with Cromer Crab, Scallop Tortellini
- Poached Fillet of Beef with Braised Flat Rib and Autumn Vegetables
- Chocolate and Orange Gingerbread with Cardamom Ice Cream
