Haileybury celebrates outstanding A Level achievements
Haileybury celebrates another year of impressive A Level results with particular highlights including strong performances in mathematics and English with 76% of pupils achieving A*A in mathematics and 59% achieving the same for English. These results follow the school’s exceptionally good 2014 International Baccalaureate Diploma results which are equivalent to 60% of pupils achieving A*A.
Haileybury Master Joe Davies commented: “Year on year, Haileyburians' academic achievements are outstanding; this year is no exception. We are extremely proud of our pupils and grateful to their families for their support. These results are not just the fruit of an academic culture, inspirational teaching and supportive tutoring but also the diverse opportunities afforded to them in a busy boarding school. Be it lectures from distinguished visitors, choir rehearsals or regular sporting competition the pupils are continuously stretched and challenged in so many ways that academic performance and intellectual curiosity naturally develop too. These grades are a testament to the hard work of the pupils and the extraordinary environment in which they live and work. I congratulate and thank all those who have made these grades possible.”
