Haileybury athletes excel
Twenty six schools participated in the Achilles Relays last Thursday, with Haileybury seeing a victory in the U17 4x200m relay.
We also had a second place in the hurdles.
Saturday’s Cholmeley Shield was contested by 10 schools and we came away with 1st places in the following events:
U20 discus – Will Englander
U17 100m – Antonio Infantino (11.2 secs)
U17 200m – Antonio Infantino (22.2 secs) – new meeting record that beats an 11-year-old record also held by a Haileybury pupil.
U17 high jump – Jack Hobbs (1.75m) – the competition was stopped due to a slippery track – Jack’s best is 1.88m!
4x100m – Rob Macpherson-Smith, James Olley, Ben Nichols, Antonio Infantino (46.3 secs)
4x400m – Ben Nichols, Rob Macpherson-Smith, James Olley, Adam Ahwazian (awaiting time)
