Friday 3rd February
7.30pm Celebratory Concert commencing in Chapel
Concert starts in Chapel then proceeds into Bradby Hall, the Attlee Room, the Dining Hall and Big School, where pupils will narrate the history of each building. The audience will then be entertained with music performed by choral, orchestral and jazz bands presenting music from the past 200 years, before moving on to the next venue.
The second half of the concert concludes shortly after 10.00pm with the audience leaving Chapel to the sounds of the 21st Century from speakers set up in the Cloisters. Quad buildings will be specially lit and Quad covered in candles.
Saturday 4th February
11.15pm Service of Thanksgiving in Chapel. The Chapel Service preacher is The Bishop of London the Right Reverend and Right Honourable Richard Chartres.
2.30pm Walking Tour of Haileybury’s Buildings and Grounds. Presented by Toby Parker, this walking tour will take in all the history and design of Haileybury’s beautiful grounds and buildings, covering the work of architect, William Wilkins and landscape designer, Humphrey Repton. Those interested in joining this historical tour should meet at the Porters’ Lodge at 2.30pm – wellies definitely recommended!
4.00pm Lecture given by Andrew Hambling; Haileybury Archivist and former Second Master. This lecture takes place in the Attlee Room. It will be the first of a series of four lectures celebrating the East India College and Haileybury, our buildings, architecture, people and events over the past 200 years.
7.30pm Common Room Dinner for invited guests.
