Day and Boarding options
At Haileybury, we understand that every family’s needs are unique, which is why we offer a range of day and boarding options to suit different lifestyles and preferences.
Our boarding and day provision is designed to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for all pupils, from Year 7 (Lower School 1) to Year 13 (Upper Sixth).
On joining Haileybury, every new pupil is warmly welcomed into one of our 13 vibrant boarding houses, each of which brings together both boarders and day pupils to foster a sense of community and belonging.
Whether you choose day attendance, full boarding, or our flexible boarding arrangements, our goal is to ensure that every pupil feels at home and supported throughout their educational journey.
Lower School (Years 7 and 8)
At Haileybury, we recognise the unique needs of our youngest pupils, offering a range of flexible options in the Lower School to suit different preferences and lifestyles:
- Day: For pupils who commute each day.
- Boarding: Available for five or six nights a week, from Sunday/Monday to Friday. Please note, Saturday night boarding is not available in the Lower School.
- Flexi-boarding: A flexible option offered on a termly basis, where day pupils can choose to board for one, two, three, or four nights per week (with a minimum of two nights for Year 8).
Boarding takes place in Highfield House, our dedicated Year 7 and 8 boarding house, featuring separate wings for boys and girls, providing a supportive and comfortable environment for all pupils.
Senior School (Years 9-13)
From Year 9 upwards, all pupils, whether day or boarding, are assigned to one of our dedicated boarding houses. We offer a range of flexible options in the Senior School to suit different needs:
- Day: For pupils who commute each day.
- Boarding: Available for five, six, or seven nights a week, providing full immersion in the school community.
- Flexi-boarding (Year 9): We are excited to introduce a Year 9 flexi-boarding option from September 2025, allowing day pupils to board for two or three consecutive nights per week. This option is available on a termly basis.
Please note, flexi-boarding is subject to availability within each boarding house.
