Boys rugby 1st XV shows skill and determination at StoneX Stadium
Last night, the boys rugby 1st XV played an awe-inspiring game against Stamford at the StoneX Stadium, home of Saracens Rugby Club.
The game was a fiercely contested battle in strong winds and heavy rain. Both sides, however, showed incredible skill, determination and sportsmanship, with the game going right down to the wire and Stamford taking a 24-19 win. What an encounter to remember!
The Haileybury rugby team were also delighted to be joined for the evening by pupils from The Beacon, Clare’s Court, Caldicott and St John’s prep schools, who enjoyed playing friendly matches against each other and meeting Aled Davies, current Saracens player and Haileybury coach, and Kapeli Pifeleti, current Saracens player and Old Haileyburian.
