Allenby wins House music event

The first House music competition to be held at Haileybury proved such a hit with both pupils and staff that Director of Music, Quentin Thomas, has been inundated with praise since the event on Friday evening.

Pupils from all 12 boarding houses participated and there was an atmosphere the likes of which is rarely experienced. "It was truly amazing," says Quentin.

The All-Round winner was Allenby while the Best Solo/Ensemble went to Alex Pilgrim (Th) and Lawrence was awarded the Best House Song.

Many pupils felt this was the best house event ever, bringing Houses together and creating a fantastic House spirit.
