A dazzling end to the sporting year

Our sporting year ended with fantastic wins for the boys in rugby and for the girls in hockey.

Our new Director of Hockey Darren Cheesman finished his first term at Haileybury on a high as our girls’ hockey 1st XI (pictured above) had an unbeaten season. They played 15 matches, won 15 matches, scored 68 goals and only let in 9.

Elsewhere, our Director of Rugby Michael Owen had much to celebrate when Haileybury won the Herts Schools Boys Rugby U18 Cup Final to became county champions. The XV beat beat St Albans School 24-0 in an exciting match at Hertford Rugby Club.

He said: "I am really proud of the boys and they have worked so hard all season. It is good to beat a tough side like St Albans. It has been a massive team effort.”
