Wellbeing
With an emphasis on personal, social, health and economic education, Haileybury’s Wellbeing classes strive to equip every pupil with the essential life skills and knowledge they need to flourish now and in the future.
By addressing important aspects of their daily lives such as friendships, emotional wellbeing and change, we can ensure pupils have acquired the skills to navigate critical issues effectively.
From making well-informed choices about topics such as substance use, online safety, exams and their early career, to discussions around culture, discrimination and kindness, Wellbeing at Haileybury prepares pupils to seize opportunities and face challenges head-on, while fostering resilience and hope in a world full of uncertainty.
We believe that this, in turn, creates a ‘virtuous circle’, whereby pupils with enhanced health and wellbeing can excel academically and enjoy greater success.
All pupils at Haileybury study Wellbeing. Lessons take place once a week while pupils in Middles (Year 10) have two lessons each week.
