Hat-trick for Haileybury’s girls’ hockey 1st XI
It has been a superb start to the season for our girls’ hockey 1st XI team with three wins in a row.
The girls, captained by Lucy Boakes, played very well against the King’s School Canterbury on Saturday 16 September, winning 5-0.
This included a goal by Removes pupil (Year 9) Scarlett Spavin, who aged just 13 is playing for our 1st team – a fantastic achievement.
Bethan Davies scored a brilliant hat-trick of her own in the match.
Scarlett also scored a goal last Sunday 10 September, when the team played against an Old Haileyburian side in the Nunn Cup. The final score was 6-2 to our 1st XI.
Today, the team take to the pitch again to compete in the first round of the National Cup, playing against Norwich School. Best of luck girls!
Well done to all the players selected for the squad on their efforts so far: Rosy, Sofia, Bethan, Alice, Amber, Lucy, Zoe, Monty, Xanthe, Amelia, Emily, Sophie, Zoe, Lydia, Katherine, Lizzie, Devon, Scarlett, Philine and Lottie.
