Researchers in Residence
Haileybury are currently taking part in the Researchers in Residence Scheme sponsored by Sheffield Hallam University. The Scheme enables PhD students to work in schools, bringing their research experience to bear on the development of new practicals for sixth formers. Lower Sixth IB pupils at Haileybury are working with Sarah Graves, a student from University College, London, on practicals involving insecticide resistance in aphids. Sarah works through the national agricultural research station at Rothamsted and her visits have proved to be a great success.
