U16 hockey girls go to District Champs
Following the girls’ U16 hockey team’s success at the county championships late last term, the next stage in their quest for glory is the district championships, to be held on Monday February 3.
We are really proud of their achievements so far and wish them very good luck for this, their greatest challenge yet. All parents are warmly invited to come and support the team at any point during the day. A map and directions can be found at www.rslonline.co.uk/location.html
The team will depart from school at 8am to be in time for their first match at 10am at the Redbridge Sports Centre in Essex.
The matches are as follows:
Versus Essex 10am
Versus Norfolk 10.30am
Versus Suffolk 11.30am
Versus Kent 12.30pm
Versus Cambs 2pm
Versus Lincs 3pm
Final presentations take place at 4.30pm.
The squad proved their worth by beating Queenswood 1-0 in the final of the county champs in November. Throughout their four-game run, they scored 10 goals and conceded none.
The squad comprises:
