Dan hits MCC for a six
Removes pupil Dan Duckworth (B) has been named as a runner-up in the MCC Christmas Card Competition for 2004.
Dan attempted his first-ever oil painting, depicting an image of a cricket team, seated, as if the image were a sepia tinted photograph from boys in the 19th century. It was then mounted within a wooden frame with a sprig of holly on the top.
"The competition requires entries that fuse cricket with Christmas – no easy task for a child, so Dan’s achievement is remarkable," comments John Pearson-Phillips, Head of the Art Department.
Dan won tickets to one of the cricket test matches between England and New Zealand.
