Double Champions

On Thursday 13th October, Haileybury confirmed their position as Hertfordshire’s premier hockey school, with wins in the finals of the County Under 16s and County Under 18s, retaining the trophy in the under 18s for the third year in a row. The Under 16s defeated Beaumont School 1-0 with an open play goal from Sarah Monk and the Under 18s defeated Queenswood with a golden goal in extra time by Jenna Wood. Both semi-finals went to penalty strokes and goalkeepers Vicky Hewett and Lauren Hewitt were outstanding, making a number of excellent saves. Both teams move on to represent Hertfordshire at the East Divisional tournaments in November.
