Jamie takes the Herts rugby squad to victory
Jamie George last weekend captained the Hertfordshire Under 15 10-a-side rugby team to victory in the National Championships at Rugby School.
The tournament was held on Sunday and Monday. The Herts side won their group after playing some exhilirating rugby, beating Somerset, Staffordshire and Northumberland comfortably.
This put them into the knockout stages on Monday, where the results were as follows:
Quarter final v Yorkshire 12-10
Semi final v Surrey 12-7
Final v Essex 24-17
Jamie received the trophy from Jason Leonard (England’s World Cup winning prop) at the end of a very tense and exciting two days of rugby.
Jamie is a member of the Saracens Academy (Elite Player Development Group) and has been invited to take part in pre-season training with the Full Academy players in July.
