Jamie selected for England rugby squad
Middles pupil, Jamie George, has been selected for the England Under 16 rugby squad.
"This is a huge honour and every boy’s dream to actually put on the red rose of England and I feel very privileged to be doing so," says Jamie.
"Now I need to keep focused and continue working hard to improve all aspects of my game to be first choice for the selectors."
Jamie has a training course this weekend at which he will need to try and impress. "I am very lucky to be at Saracens and I owe a lot to them for making me the player I am today. They have given me many training programmes to follow and I am currently working with the England throwing coach within my training sessions."
In related news, Jamie’s cousin, Tom George (Batten 2001), has also been selected to play for the England Students XV.
