Gresham's wins U11 hockey tournament
Congratulations to the Gresham’s team who yesterday won the Under 11 IAPS boys’ hockey South and East division tournament, hosted by Haileybury.
Gresham’s pipped The Abbey School, Woodbridge to the post in a very high-quality final 2-0.
Felsted were the winners of the plate event, beating Woodford Green 7-1.
Andy Searson, master in charge of hockey at Haileybury, said: "All four semi-finalists who are qualifying for the National Stages of the event will have a great chance of winning the overall title.
"It was an unbelievable level of hockey at times and you had to pinch yourself to remember that they were Under 11s."
Gresham’s, The Abbey School, South Lee School and Kent College Junior School all qualified for the nationals.
