Haileybury's international rugby stars shine
Haileybury’s two rugby stars, Jamie George and Nico Fraser, were both involved in international fixtures before and during the Easter break.
Jamie played for the England Under 18 squad in the Six Nations tournament held in Cork from 25 March to 2 April. He had previously played for the England team in their victory over Wales at Worcester just before the end of last term, which was the first game in their Six Nations campaign.
England had a successful tournament, winning all their games and claiming a "Grand Slam", with Jamie being the top try scorer for England with three tries.
At the end of last term, Nico Fraser played for the England Under 18A squad in the Association of European Rugby (AER) tournament in Italy. The England team got off to a flying start, beating Georgia by 53 points to 3, with Nico grabbing a hat trick of tries.
Unfortunately, they lost the next game to Ireland, which put them into the 3rd/4th place play-off against Italy, which they won by 21 points to 5.
Congratulations to both players. Both players should feel very proud of their achievements and both will be hoping to be selected for the England Under 18 tour to Argentina in July and August.
