Lacrosse wins against Uppingham
Last weekend, the First and Second girls’ lacrosse teams played Uppingham in what is usually a closely fought game. However, well rested after half term, both teams rose to the challenge and played some the of the best lacrosse seen by Haileybury in a number of years.
The Firsts demonstrated crisp passing, movement and team work, as well as finishing off a number of opportunities cleanly to record a convincing 16 -5 win. The Seconds, not to be out-done, had a number of outstanding individual performances and superb defence to maintain a clean sheet over 48 minutes of play, to record a superb 17 – 0 win.
Congratulations to all on an excellent fixture.
On Field Weekend, just before half term, all the lacrosse teams played against St Alban’s High School. The Firsts lost 2 -7 but the Seconds and Under 14s recorded good wins, both with a score of 7- 2.
