Under 16 Girls' Hockey Success
Congratulations to the Under 16 girls’ hockey squad who played in the County Tournament at Queenswood yesterday. Andy Searson writes :
The U16 girls beat the likes of Hitchin, Queenswood, Dame Alice Owens and Hockerill in reaching the final of the county tournament. In the final the 2 teams could not be separated, even after golden goal extra time. It went to a shoot out and Bishops Stortford claimed the silverware. However, more importantly we qualify for the East Division championships, which we can approach with great confidence, particularly given that we did not concede a goal for the entire tournament.
Grace Rawlins was in great form throughout the day and scored some super corners.
A fantastic performance from the squad – well done girls!
