Support Haileybury’s GRIM Challengers and the Bobath Centre
Some brave Haileyburians will face a grim challenge on 2 December when a group of Batten Sixth Formers and Tutors take on the annual GRIM endurance race in aid of the Bobath Centre.
The eight-mile off-road challenge is held over the Army’s vehicle testing tracks in Aldershot so the terrain is tough to say the least. Participants are invited to run, wade and crawl their way around the course!
The 2011 GRIM event saw over 6,000 people take part as individuals or in teams of three and there are prizes for the top five individuals and top three teams. The Haileyburian GRIM Challengers are Harry Hall, Will Clark, Calum Gale, Frankie Cuffaro, Dom Glover, Martin Xiong, Mr Spavin, Mr Cope, Mr Shuler, Mr Mitchell and Mr Head.
The Bobath Centre is a specialist treatment centre providing individually tailored therapy for children who have cerebral palsy and other allied neurological conditions. The charity aims to improve the quality of life for children so that they are healthy and active, and can participate in everyday life to the best of their ability. The Bobath Centre is one of the three charities Haileybury has chosen to support during 2012-13.
