Instrumental Competition

Haileyburian Junior and Senior musicians have launched this year’s Instrumental Competition in style, with the Woodwind and Brass heat taking place last night (4 February).

Congratulations to everyone who performed; highly commended were:

• Miles Casimir-Mrowczynski for his performance of ‘Ain’t Misbehavin’ on the tenor horn (R)
• Elene Abeywickrama for her fun performance of ‘Rag ‘n’ Flute’ (LS1)
• Tom Gratton for a very expressive performance on the clarinet of Weber’s Concertante 2nd movement (U6)

Good luck to those singing in tonight’s heat. Piano and Percussion is on Wednesday (6 February) followed by Strings (including Harp and Guitar) on Thursday (7 February).
