Old Haileyburian Cycles Across the US for HYT

Marcus Farnfield (K) was a popular and respected Head of School in 2008-9 and is currently studying Chemistry at Bristol University. Following spending his third year in Vancouver, British Columbia (BC), Marcus and friend Nick McCarthy decided to cycle 5200km from BC to DC (Washington) to raise funds for Haileybury Youth Trust's work in Uganda.

The duo completed their epic, 50-day ride across the American continent as Haileybury broke up for the summer holidays. Having set themselves the target of raising £1 for every kilometre cycled, they have so far raised nearly £5,000 and many poor Ugandans will benefit greatly from this act of generosity and feat of adventure.
