Haileybury Chefs Triumph at Culinary Competition
Haileybury chefs returned to the College recently with a clutch of medals after competing in Wessex Salon Culinaire, one of the UK’s largest live culinary competitions. Held in association with The Craft Guild of Chefs, it took place at Brockenhurst College at the end of May. The competition was split into four categories: Live Hot, Live Cold, Restaurant and Display. Our fabulous chefs excelled in several areas, gaining an impressive total of medals: three gold, five silver, three bronze, one merit and a fourth place (out of eight). The individual achievements were:

- Carl Kavanagh – Hot Dessert – Gold
- Carl Kavanagh – Pork Dish – Gold
- Carl Kavanagh – Risotto Challenge – Silver
- Carl Kavanagh – Pasta Challenge – Silver
- Mathew Pryce – Risotto Challenge – Bronze
- Mathew Pryce – Chicken Prep – Silver
- Mathew Pryce – Fish Fileting – Bronze
- Mathew Pryce – Pasta Challenge – Merit
- Mathew Pryce – Caterer & Licensee Chef Of the Year – 4th place
- Lee Warren – Game Main – Silver
- Lee Warren – Fish Dish – Silver
- Lee Warren – Pasta Challenge – Bronze
