Haileybury Festival of Arts
We were delighted to welcome children from 27 schools to our annual celebration of creativity, the Festival of Arts, earlier this month.
The theme of this year's festival was Theatre to commemorate the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death.
Thank you to all of the children who embraced the theme and submitted some fantastic art work and creative writing pieces.
The festival day included two prize giving ceremonies, one for art and the other for creative writing.
All of the pieces submitted were on display for everyone to look at, and there was a variety of creative activities for people to get involved in. These included poetry readings, drama workshops, art activities, music performances, and an African Drumming session.
Old Haileyburian and successful artist Roberto Pagliarulo returned to Haileybury to showcase some of his colourful pieces and talk about his career.
You can watch a short film about the Festival of Arts above.
