6-0 win for 1st XI
Three goals either side of half time brought a thoroughly deserved seventh win out of eight games for the 1st XI boys’ squad.
It was a highly impressive performance from a highly organised and professional group. Will Stanyard snaffled a clinical hat-trick, whilst Sam King and Dom Tivey took their chances with aplomb.
Conceding only one goal in five games since half term reflects the excellence of the defensive unit, as well as the determined spirit that this whole squad has. Lewis Green and Ed Graves were particularly to the fore this week.
With one more clean sheet next week at home, this year’s 1st XI will go down in history as having statistically the finest defence ever. That would be a record worth holding.
