Join us for the 21st Attlee Memorial Lecture given by Haileybury alumnus, General Sir Rupert Smith. General Sir Rupert will talk of leadership and the importance of the morale of the "unknown but essential man".
General Sir Rupert is an acknowledged expert and author on the nature of modern warfare and security. He commanded British land forces during the first Gulf War and in Northern Ireland, UN forces in the conflict in Bosnia and was Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe NATO forces during the Kosovo operation. He retired at the end of 2001.
