1st XII defeat King's 11-4
The 1st lacrosse team soundly defeated their King’s opponents last weekend. Despite having a rather long injured and ill list, several 2nd team members stepped in to fill the gaps.
Kasita Rochanankorn and Emily Bowden-Eyer both put in tremendous efforts assisting and scoring respectively. The obvious star of the match, though, was Lucy Phillips who put away a solid 3 goals. To our credit, the list of scores stay satisfyingly diverse and yielded up another win, 11-4.
The 2nds showed vast improvement on a number of skills that they have been working on. Their solid passing and catching brought tears to Coach Mason’s eyes as did the excellent play in the midfield. Sissy Reuter did a great job at her first attempt at Center, while Maja Brankovic had an excellent goal with a beautiful assist from Kate Sullivan.
This loss, 2-14, will only fuel their determination to improve further for the next time we face King’s on home ground.
