100 England caps for Old Haileyburian Jamie George

Congratulations to Jamie George (Bartle Frere, 2009) on reaching his 100 caps for England!
Jamie captained the Haileybury 1st XV, played for Saracens, and made his first international start against Samoa at Twickenham in 2017. His first Rugby World Cup appearance was in 2015 and he captained England in the 2024 Six Nations in Japan and New Zealand. We are thrilled for Jamie on reaching this incredible new milestone!
“Jamie George’s time at Haileybury was marked by a strong sense of belonging. His humility and strong work ethic earned him respect from both peers and teachers, making him a standout figure during his time there. Although he excelled at multiple sports, including hockey and cricket, it was rugby where Jamie truly shone. He captained the first team and played for them for three years, and his leadership on the pitch set him apart as a natural leader, earning him a lasting legacy at Haileybury.
Even after achieving international success with England, Jamie remains deeply connected to Haileybury, frequently returning to support the School. Whether through attending dinners, coaching the current pupils, or sharing his experiences with the boys, he continues to give back to the community that played such a significant role in his formative years.“
