Haileybury's value added is recognised
Recently published tables by the Department for Education show Haileybury to be the 9th best co-educational independent school in the country for adding value to pupils’ performance between GCSEs and final Sixth Form examinations. Haileybury is the top school in all of Hertfordshire.
Such results show not only that Haileybury pupils achieve excellent exam results but they are also obtaining grades in their A Level or IB Diploma qualifications that are significantly above what might have been expected of them at 16 years old.
"To be one of the very best schools in the whole country in helping pupils achieve at the highest level possible is a great feather in the cap of both our exam candidates and their teachers. It is good to know that we offer so much to our pupils in terms of academic development alongside all their other achievements in sport, music, drama and dance. On top of this, we have also guided 10 of our pupils in achieving offers of places at Oxford or Cambridge this year alone," said the Master of Haileybury, Mr Joe Davies.
